“In a well-ordered universe…”

Sloane is missing. Emily and Sloane are joined at the hip, until they aren’t. At first Emily hopes that her best friend is only gone for the weekend, but it becomes clear that wherever Sloane is she’ll be gone a while, and all Emily has left is a list. Kiss a stranger, go skinny-dipping, dance until dawn…none of these are things

A very cute summer story that will bring warmth to any season. That being said despite the interesting starting point it’s very hum-drum. Emily is a very shy and quiet girl, and the story focuses on her finding herself and coming out of her shell. She thinks she being quiet bold, but to be honest most of the things are still more tame than any regular teenager. It started slow and didn’t get much more exciting. Emily felt over-dramatic and she expected a bit much from everyone. Things are resolved too quickly and cleanly without any mess where there should be. A nice feel good beach read, but don’t expect much depth here.
